５月３日～５月5日

生望バプテスト教会で4回目の神学校がありました。
今回のテーマは「信仰者の生活」でした。
主に神様の計画や摂理のことを学びました。
とっても良かったです！
We had our fourth seminary class from May 3rd through May 5th.
We learned about God's Sovereignty. The class was amazing!!!
God is amazing!!!

私たちの仕えている神様は本当にすごい方です。

復活祭 Resurrection Sunday

4月２０日　復活祭

イエス様が私たちの罪の罰の変わりに死んで、三日目によみがえったことを思い出す特別な日。
普段教会に来られない方もたくさん来て、教会がいっぱいになりました。（＾＾）・
Resurrection Sunday. The day we remember(especially) that Jesus died in the place of our sins and rose again the third day. The church was filled with people. Many people who don't normally come to church came, too.

普通はさえずりの森の展望台に集まるんですが、今日は雨だったので、教会の中で神様を賛美し、祈り、聖書からの話も聞きました。礼拝が終わってから、大人たちは子どもたちのためにお菓子や卵を隠してくださいました。子どもたちはビニール袋をもって、走り回ってお菓子や卵を探しました。このあとに、サラダやおにぎり、シナモンロールやスコーンなどの美味しいブランチをいただきました。
Usually we gather at the lookout at Saezuri no Mori, but today it was raining, so we gathered at church to sing praises to God, pray, and listen to the Bible. After the worship service, the adults hid the snacks and eggs all around the church. The children then ran through the building looking for all the goodies. After this, we had a delicious brunch of salads, rice balls, cinnamon rolls, scones, and more.

楽しい一日でしたが、メインの楽しみはいつか、生きているイエス様に出会える喜びと希望です。
It was a fun day, but the main "fun" is that we have the joy and hope of one day meeting the living Jesus Christ.
イエス様は本当に歴史において復活なさったのでしょうか？
But . . . did Jesus really rise from the dead?
聖書にこんな言葉が書いてあります。
The Bible says this:
「もしキリストがよみがえらなかったのなら、
あなたがたの信仰はむなしく、
あなたがたは今もなお、
自分の罪の中にいるのです。。。すべての人の中で一番哀れなものです。」

4月19日

今日もチャレンジクラブがありました。
たくさんの子どもたちに来てくださいました。（＾＾）・
We had another Challenge Club today.
A lot of kids came.

今日の英語の時間は、遠いアメリカから、91歳のおじいさんに手伝ってもらいました。
内容は「Are you OK?」と聞いて会話をすることでした。子どもたちは色んな人に行って、"Are you OK?"と訪ねたりしました。
My 91 year old Grandpa helped with the English lesson today.
Today's task was to ask someone, "Are you OK?" The children went up to various different people asking, "Are you OK?"

ゲームの時間もグループに分かれて、楽しく遊べました。
We had fun splitting into groups and playing games, too.

聖書の時間もありました。（＾＾）・
皆さん、イースターはなんの日か分かりますか？卵の日ではありません！
イエス様が私たちのために、死んで、三日目によみがえったことを思い出す日です！
私たちは死んでいる方じゃなくて、生きている方に仕えているのです。（＾＾）/
Of course, we had a Bible time, too.
Do you know what "Easter" is? It's NOT "Egg-Day"!
This is the day we remember Jesus who died for us and rose again the third day.
We serve one who is alive, not dead.
最後に、卵の飾りつけをしました。
子どもたちも大喜び。（＾＾）
Finally, we decorated eggs. The children had lots of fun.

飾り付けと思ったら、食べちゃったりするお子様も。。。　（＾＾；）＞
One child decided she'd rather eat than decorate.

子どもチャレンジクラブ

３月２９日

今日はチャレンジクラブが行われました。（＾＾）
Today we had challenge club.

まず、英語の時間でフルーツに関する本の読み聞かせのあと、アメリカンスタイルのフルーツサラダがを作ってみました。（＾＾）・色んなフルーツを切って、一人一人のフルーツサラダを食べました。
フルーツの種類はメロン、ブラックベリー、ブルーベリー、いちご、などなど。。。

First, we had an English time. After reading a book about fruits, we made an American style fruit salad. The children made each of their own small fruit salads and ate them. There was a melon, some blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and more.

楽しいゲームをしたあと、聖書の話を聞きました。
聖書の話では、この世界が計画を持って造られた方がいると言うことを学びました。
動物や植物が生きるにあたって必要なものがどれほど細かく計画されているのかを学びました。
デザインにはデザイナーがいる。
聖書によると、この世界は神様によって、とっても良く造られました。
創造主よりも、造られた人間である私達が神様の言うことより自分の思うことを上にした結果、罪がこの世界に入って、神様からの関係が切り離されました。

After some fun games, we had a short Bible time.
The Bible time focused on the fact that animals and plants are created with such an intelligent design. A design needs a Designer. The Bible says that God made the world good. But sin came when we, humans created in the image of God, put what we say over what God says.
By this way, we have been separated from a holy, righteous God.

でも、神様はイエス様をこの世界に送ってくださいました。
イエス様は罪を犯さず、私達罪のある人間の変わりに十字架にかかって死んでくださいました。
聖書によると、三日目によみがえりました。

イエス様を信じてみませんか？

But God sent Jesus into the world.
Jesus never sinned. He took all our sins on Himself and died on the cross, rising again(as the Bible says) the third day. Won't you believe in Jesus?

聖書の時間のあと、巨大シャボン玉を作りました。
とっても大きいシャボン玉にびっくりしました！！！　（＾＾）・
みんなまたおいでね～

After the Bible time, we made huge bubbles.
How fun!! (^^)/ I was surprised at how big they were.

壮行会

３月23日

今日はある姉妹のための壮行会が行われました。

20年間もこの教会に来て、イエス様を信じ、多くの人を励まし、人の目がイエス様へと向くように働いてきた方です。東京に行ってしまうけど、祈ってます！

東京でも、イエス様のために頑張ってください！

そして。。。いつでも帰ってくるときは歓迎します。（＾＾）

2月8日の夜に「フリー」がありました。
Today we had "Free."
Free is a get-together for singles.
フリーは独身のための集まりです。

一緒におしゃべりしながらご飯を食べ、ゲームをします。
聖書の時間もいつもあります。時には聖書を開いて、一緒に読んで話し合ったりします。時々、聖書に関するDVDを観ます。時々誰かが聖書のことを話したり、自分がどういうふうにイエス様とであったのかをみんなの前で話してくださいます。

We usually just hang around and talk over supper, then play a game.
After this, we always have a Bible time. Sometimes we open the Bible together and read and talk about what we've read. Sometimes, we watch a DVD that has something to do with the Bible. Other times, someone speaks or shares his or her testimony.

今日は特別にアメリカからの方が2人来てくださったのです。（＾＾）/
ジェシカがギターを弾いて歌ってくれました。ジェシカの友達もどういうふうにイエス様のことを信じるようになったのかも話してくれました。
Today two special people came all the way from America.
Jess played the guitar and sang, and her friend shared about how she came to know Jesus.

第一日曜日

お久しぶりです。（＾＾）
It's been a long time.

２月２日は２月の第一日曜日でした。
第一日曜日では特に分かりやすい聖書の話が用意されています。
普段教会に行かない人でも分かりやすいです。

February second was the first Sunday of the month.
There's an especially easy to understand talk from the Bible on the first Sunday of each month.
It's easy to understand for those who don't go to church, either.

教会では何をするでしょう?
What do we do at church?

１）まずは報告。　今度の特別な予定とか。。。
First, there are the announcements, such as an upcoming event.
２）神様を礼拝する前に、２、３分静まります。
We're quiet for about two or three minutes before worship begins--
preparing hearts to worship God.
３）みんなで生きている、大好きな神様を讃え、賛美します。
We sing praises to the living God who we love.
４）お祈りします。 We pray to Him.
５）聖書のお話があります。　The pastor preaches from the Word of God.

誰でも、いつでも、いらしてください。（＾＾）・
日曜日の朝１１時～１２時ぐらいまでです。
第２と第４日曜日には、お昼ご飯も準備されています。
Anybody, anytime, is welcome.
The service is from eleven o'clock to about twelve o'clock.
Lunch is prepared on the second and fourth Sundays. Yum yum. (^^)

ちなみに、３月の第一日曜日は３月２日です。。。が、いつの日曜日でも大歓迎！
By the way, the first Sunday in March is March 2nd, but you are welcome on any Sunday.

レディースフラワーアレーンジメント

１２月１４日

毎年行われているクリスマスレディース会。
Our yearly Christmas Ladies Get-Together
今年もステキな飾りが出来あがりました。
This year, as always, we were able to make a beautiful decoration for Christmas

聖書の話も、クリスマスに関係する飾りや色の説明を聞くと、そのほとんどはイエス様と関係していることを知りました。皆さん、クリスマスはイエス様の誕生をお祝いする日だとご存知でしたか?　
As we listened to a talk from the Bible, we could learn that many of the decorations and colors having to do with Christmas point to Christ. Did you know that Christmas is the day where we celebrate Jesus' birth?
イエス様は２０００年も前に、私たちの罪の変わりに十字架にかかって死ぬために、人として生まれ、罪を犯さず、十字架にかかり、死に、３日目によみがえってくださいました。
神様は私たちへの愛をこういうふうに表してくださいました。
God demonstrated His love towards us when He sent Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago to die in our place. He was born as a baby, lived a sinless life, and died in the place of our sin's punishment, and rose again the third day.
私たちは自分の罪を悔い改め、イエス様を信じることによって、罪の罰から救われます。
If we repent of our sins and turn to Jesus, believing in Him, we will be saved from our sin.

「神は実にそのひとり子をお与えになったほどに世{人}を愛された。それは御子{イエス様｝を信じる者がひとりとしてほろびることなく、永遠の命をもつためである。」　聖書

今年のクリスマス、これを覚えて、イエス様に目を向けましょう。
This Christmas, let's turn our eyes to Jesus, remembering what He has done for us.

新しい命 A New Life

12月３日、新しい赤ちゃんが誕生しました。
　On December 3rd, a new baby was born into the world.

He has great facial expressions, and he's surprisingly small.

本当におめでとうございます。
Congratulations.

いつかイエス様を信じ従う者となるようにお祈りしています。
I'm praying that he will someday come to believe and follow Jesus.
