掃除１ Cleaning Day 1

今日は教会の皆とお掃除をしました。　（＾＾）
女性はキッチンの掃除と整理をし、男性はやねの掃除とイルミネーションの飾りつけをしてくれました。


皆で楽しくお掃除が出来ました。

今日は教会の男性組がお昼を作ってくださいました！
Today the men of the church made lunch.

１０月１２日

今日はアドボの作りかたを学びました。
フィリピンの家庭料理です。
Today we learned how to make Adobo, a Philipine dish.

皆で作り方を学んだあと、実際に作ってみました。
作りおえたら聖書からの話をききながら柚子茶を飲みました。
今回の聖書の話は、聖書に出てくる女性の話でした。
神様は女性をも愛されていて、用いられます。

After learning how to make it, we tried making it ourselves.
After we made it, we sipped on some yuzu tea as we listened to a short talk from the Bible.
Today's talk was about God's love for women in the Bible, how He uses women to fulfill his plans as well.

聖書の時間が終わったらおいしいアドボを食べてみました。（＾＾）
ご飯がすすみます！
After the Bible time, we ate the delicious Adobo.
It goes really well with rice!


来てくださった方々に感謝。

神様をもっと知りたい！

９月１４日ー１６日

日本聖書学院の二回目のクラスが開かれました。
今回は、もっと神様のことを学べました。
The second class from Japan Bible Academy was held at Living Hope Baptist Church.
This time, we got to learn more about Who God is.

神様は完全に聖く、無限な方です。永遠だし、神様がいないという場所はないし、すべてを知っておられるし、なんでもできるし、永遠に変わらない方です。私たち造られた人間は神様を完全に理解できません。さらに、神様は義、正義、真実、愛、恵み、あわれみに富んでいます。
God is completely and infinitely holy. He is the eternal God. There is nowhere where He is not present. He knows everything, can do anything, and is eternally unchanging. We, created human beings, cannot fully and completely know God. In addition to this truth, God is also righteous, just, true, loving, gracious, and filled with mercy.

こんなにすごい方が、私たち人間に目を向けてくださるのです。
How could it be that God should look on us human beings?

こんな神様をもっと知ることが出来るのは、ただイエス様のおかげです。
It is only because of Jesus that we are able to know more about God.
イエス様が私たちの罪の代わりに死んでくださったことによって、私たちが神様に近つけるようにしてくださいました。Because Jesus died in the place of our sins, we are able to draw near to God.

Praise the Lord.

グレープバイン・アメリカ Grapevine USA

７月３１～８月１４日

生望教会のミニストリーチームがアメリカに行ってきました。
Grapevine, a ministry team from Living Hope Baptist Church, went to America.

色んな教会をまわって、英語や日本語で神様をほめる歌を歌いました。
We sang praises to the Lord in English and Japanese at a bunch of different churches.
歌うだけじゃなく、日本語で証（神様がどのようにして自分の心の中で働いているのかを皆に教えること）をしました。通訳してくださったビルさん、ベキさん、ありがとうございました！
Not only did we sing, several in the group gave their testimonies of how God has worked in their hearts. Thank you, Bill and Becky Petite, for translating!

各教会の人たちは、神様がすべての国の人を愛し、神様のもとにくるようにと願って、働いておられるということを目で見ることが出来ました。最後の歌のときに、涙ぐんでいた人も多々いました。
At each church, people were able to see for themselves and remember how God loves all peoples and works to draw them closer to Himself. One could see many tears during the last song.


色んな方法で助けてくださった方々に感謝します。
とっても楽しい、恵まれた、祝福された旅でした。

Thank you so much to those who helped in various different ways to make this possible.
It was a fun, blessed, grace-filled time.

今日は、久々にチャレンジクラブが行われました。（＾＾）・
It's been a while since we had challenge club.
スケジュールはこんなかんじでした。
Here's a little of what the schedule looked like.
１）英語：　"I'm hungry/thirsty/cold/hot/sleepy/happy/sad,etc."
とても良く出来ました。（＾＾）・You did very well.

２）ゲーム
じゃんけんと新聞紙を使った暑い対決
　　　A few games involving "rock, scissors, paper" and newspapers.

３）聖書の時間:　その内容とは？私たちの罪（神様を信じないことや、神様を無視してきたことを含む）のせいで私たちは神様から遠く離れています（月が地球から遠く離れているように）。でも、イエス様が私たちの罪の罰の代わりに十字架にかかって死んでくださって、３日目によみがえりました。聖書によると、イエス様を信じれば、神様と和解が出来ます。

Bible Time:　In a nutshell: Because of our sin(unbelief in what God says and Who He is and ignoring Him, etc.), we are separated far away from God(as the moon is far from the earth). But Jesus Christ died in the place of our sin--for our punishment. He rose again the third day. If we believe in Jesus, the Bible says that we can have reconciliation with God.

親子で英会話 English with Mommy

６月２２日

今日は沢山の親子が着てくださいました。
A lot of children and parents came today for an "English with Mommy" time.
ステファニー先生とケリー先生（そして私も）が英語のリードをしながら、子どもたちと歌を歌ったり、踊ったりしました。子どもたちとお母さんたちも元気に踊ってくださいました。今日のテーマは「体」で、"Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" という歌を習いました。このあと、子どもたちは分かれて、英語の絵本の読み聞かせに参加しました。

Stephanie and Kellie(and myself) were the English leaders today as we danced and sang together. The children--and even the parents--danced along. Today's theme centered around body parts. We especially focused on vocabulary from "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes." Afterward, the teachers split the group into two and read from English Big Books.

このあと、子どもたちが遊んでいる間に、直美さんが聖書からの子育てについて話してくださいました。
After this, Naomisan spoke on Biblical child-rearing while we played with the children.

ランチも準備されていました。手伝ってくださった方々、本当のありがとうございました。

父の日

６月１６日　（日）

今日は父の日でした。　Today was Father's Day.
いつも一生懸命はたらいてくださる父たちへ。。。

感謝します。

礼拝が終わったら、教会の裏を皆で掃除しました。
皆と一緒に掃除をするのって、楽しいですね。（＾＾）
After the service, we worked on cleaning the back of the church.
It sure is a lot funner when we work together to clean something.

フリー

６月１日　（土）

大変おくれましたが、６月１日に、『フリー』が行われました。（＾＾）
「フリー」と言うのは、独身の集まりで、ある意味、自由な人を考えてつけた名前です。（笑）
It's been too long, but on the first of June, we had a singles get-together. It's called "Free," because to a certain extent(compared to married folks), we are free. (^^)

今回は沢山の人たちに来てくださいました。私の家に２１人もいました！
あまりにも多くいたので、ゲームが思うようにすすまなくて、途中でやめました。（笑）
Twenty-one people came. There were so many people, the game didn't flow as smoothly as I would have liked it, so we stopped it mid-game. Hahaha.

デザートの前に知美ちゃんが自分がどうやってイエス様を信じるようになったのかを話してくださいました。（＾＾）ありがとう。
Before desserts, Tomomichan shared how she came to believe in Jesus. Thank you!

すばらしいお茶まで用意してくださった方々、ありがとうございました。（＾＾）
